José Serebrier in Hollywood: José Serebrier accepted an invitation from Hollywood to conduct the soundtrack of director Carlos Saldanha’s film Rio 2, a sequel to the 2011 3D computer-animated musical adventure film Rio from 20th Century Fox. It was a great box-office success starring Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenburg, and Jamie Foxx. The multiple GRAMMY®-award winning José Serebrier is today’s most frequently recorded conductor. Serebrier composed and directed the music for the film The Star Wagon in 1966, starring Dustin Hoffman, but this is his first venture into Hollywood as music director. Rio 2 opened in April 2014.
