Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom

“Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom” was one of the most powerful pieces of theatre I’ve ever experienced. It not only brought the house down, but brought everyone to tears. — Rev. Ellen Robison, The Theatre at The Riverside Church (NYC), January 2019

"With Spiritual and Freedom-inspired music and projections...you felt in the thick of it. The ... ensemble [members] were soul-stirring in their harmonies."—Eva Heinemann, Hi! Drama, January 2019

“I loved the show. It was absolutely breathtaking and I’d watch it again if I had the chance. ” — Audience member, Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, October 2018

“We absolutely loved having all of you here and could not have been more pleased with the entire engagement.” — Mary-Margaret Dale, Culture Shock Miami, October 2018

“Weaving the voice of a teen with the powerful gospels and spirituals made the story… more powerful intertwining emotions from hope, defiance, anger, fear, [and] elation…” Audience member, Maplewood NJ, March 2019

“Congrats on a wonderful performance run. It was a treat to observe the student and teacher reactions to the performances as it was very apparent how touched they were.” — Rosa Hyde, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, January 2019
