    Mexico’s National Symphony Orchestra is the country’s most representative music ensemble. Its first antecedent is the Orquesta Sinfónica de México (Mexico’s Symphony Orchestra) founded in 1928 by Carlos Chávez. When the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Institute of Fine Arts) was created in 1947, the orchestra first became the Orquesta Sinfónica del Conservatorio Nacional de Música (Orchestra of the National Music Conservatoire) and finally, the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional. The orchestra has garnered many accolades, including a nomination for the Latin Grammy in 2002 for Best Classical Album and the Lunas del Auditorio Award in 2004 for Best Classical Show....
