Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla led the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in a “riveting account” of Weinberg’s Third Symphony this past Thursday in a sold out BBC Proms concert.

“Gražinytė-Tyla’s conducting opens your ears. She is an artist with something really profound to say,” said Mark Pullinger from Bachtrack.

In May, Deutsche Grammophon released her debut album of Weinberg Symphonies Nos. 2 & 21. For this centennial project she collaborated with Gidon Kremer, Kremerata Baltica, and her CBSO.
